The power of 40k artwork shall never be underestimated! On many occassions flipping through various 40K codices, one gravitates towards the dark gothic 40K artwork that abound and sometimes one thinks: "Wouldn't that make a great model to create, paint and play on a 40k table?".

Ordo Malleus Inquisitor Lord - finished!

Prior to investing in a Coteaz-wing army, I had experimented with including a Terminator-armour clad Inquisitor Lord in my army list, armed with Psycannon / Daemonhammer combo, with varying degrees of success.

Vin Diesel 40K: Riddick 28mm Miniature Kitbash

I've always liked the movie Pitch Black, the Chronicles of Riddick maybe not so much despite it being the closest live-action 40k-esque movie out there at the moment, disregarding Starship Troopers.

The big draw of these movies is the one and only Riddick, as portrayed by mousy, wallflower geek-actor Vin Diesel. With the impending release of yet-another sequel due late-2013, I thought it fitting to work up a new addition to my existing armies, be it Imperial Guard, Grey Knights, etc. Thank you 6th edition allies rules!

Round 2 of the mega-apocalypse goodbye-5th-edition game continues apace, taking up the entirety of Wednesday Night Gaming's nighttime slot to play, with the 3rd round to be played next week. Highlights include the following:

My Justicar Thawn model now needed a 'Casualty Counter' (or Death maker/token/etc) as per the 'I Shall Not Yield' rules.

I’ll be honest with you all and say that currently Project Big Kahuna is at a standstill, as I seem to be suffering from something called writer’s block! Notably, I’m trying to actually write-up the titular rules entry itself and seem to have hit a wall, along with reality’s work demands and other distractions in the mix.

Artwork: Soul Reapers - Characters

A chance glimpse at a post on Big Jim's Galaxy in Flames blog has eventually snowballed into this blog, the 512th Cadian. So I have him to thank (or blame!), as it was bad enough I spent my time with the little plastic men, now I draw them too!

With thanks, Jim has kindly allowed me to put up as a showcase the artwork/illustrations that I have worked over with him in anticipation of his soon-to-be-released Minidex: Soul Reapers, both for fluff and/or unit entries. So let's take a break from the Imperial men of grey, and delight in the coppery bronze and gold of the 12th Legion's finest 17th Company.
