Scarface 40K

"SAY HELLO TO MY LITTLE FRIEND "

Inspired by the 1983 movie poster, and old 40K (Space Marine & Space crusade board game) artwork, as follows:

"In the grim darkness of the far future there is only LLELLO... "

NOTE: Artwork originally by sci-fi illustrator Jim Burns, he must've been a Scarface fan.

(Original movie poster for reference)

Re-casting Al Pacino as a White Scars marine (instead of a Dark Angel sergeant), why hasn't anyone thought of this before? It makes more sense than John Wayne as Genghis Khan...  :)

Just to add: I now have also have a DeviantART page for my various artwork, please visit if you like that sorta thing, many thanks!

  1. Very good! IIRC I'm pretty sure that the Space Marine pic was in fact inspired by Scarface in the first place.

  2. Doing some cursory research, I discovered that the Dark Angels 40k art featuring the blonde Al Pacino sergeant was created by sci-fi illustrator legend, Jim Burns: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jim_Burns

... who coincidentally, also created the 1st edition original box cover art to Milton Bradley's 'Space Crusade' game, again re-using Scarface as a reference! (amended post above demonstrating this)
